Do not let it bring you down

Is that a tear I see flowing down delectate cheeks? Is it truly that sad, or even that bad, for tears to flow like a river? Go on, tell me what happened. I will hear the story that has found its comfort in sorrow. Do not worry I can bear it, as I have danced with many a sad tale in my life and even lived a few myself. I think that once this sorrowful tale is out in the open, we can spend our days in laughter and smile at the many lessons learned. So, go on, delay no longer the story and lay it bare for me to hear. I promise I shall help lift the weight and allow us to be light in mind and foot.

Well, that was not so bad. I can tell by the expression the face now bears. At first, the hurdle was rather daunting, but once it has faced our overcoming, surprise finds us all at the ease with which we can overcome the other obstacles on our path. Even when it becomes difficult to push on through, it is better than giving up, and even calling on a friend when it becomes too much will prove of great use to those who can swallow their pride. However, pride tramples within like a raging bull threatening to derail the progress of any kind, and throwing it into the blowing wind is no easy task, even for those who like to set things free to walk among the flowers. Such free-spirited things they are, and if it were easy to locate their books to page through and glean some lessons, it would prove quite fruitful, but such free spirits are shy and like to hide themselves and their treasures. So, treasure hunters we shall become!

Remember that every journey is fraught with pain and suffering, and we should refrain from letting that bring us down, as we have only just begun this exciting new chapter of life. If tears should come about like ghostly little wonders, then we must feel deeply about what brings us such tears. However, we must leave enough room for tears of joy when our journey ends. We must allow tears to well up at our success while we recall those sorrowful moments that threatened our resolve and made us quake where we stood. Even so, there is something we know all too well! We did not stand alone, nor did we travel in solitude; even when loneliness threatened us with its chains, we were never alone as many travel the same path that we are on, only that we cannot see each other is all, but once we open our eyes, we shall see them once more.

Well, here we are at the end, but remember that with one end, there is a beginning to something else, and now I wonder what that new beginning will be. Whatever it might be, I am sure our paths will converge once more. After all, is it not so that most rivers lead to the sea? So what are we, a dead end or a river that flows into the ocean?
